Hello Students!

I'm so happy to have you in my class for the 2015-2016 school year!  This is such an exciting time.  I can promise you will learn so much by next June.  I already have lots of fun and interesting lessons, activities and projects planned for us during the upcoming months.  This year your writing skills will improve beyond what you can imagine.

Dance Students: YES! I really am teaching dance and I really have been trained - like for years in this art form. I have my Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in dance and I have danced in several dance companies across the USA as well as had my own dance company. I have been taking classes lately at TU Dance and at ZENON dance company and school.

So, you can imagine, I want to get us up and MOVING! Expect to sweat... or at least have fun!

9th Grade English Students: YES ALL OF YOU! Here is your first bit of  homework! I would like you to write a letter to me introducing yourself and bring it to class sometime in the first week. Follow these steps:

  1. In the first section, tell me about your family.
  2. Next, tell me about three different things: what you really like about school, what you want to learn this year and what you would like to improve. (Don't worry--we all have something we can improve on!)
  3. Thirdly, tell me what you like to do for fun. What are your hobbies, what sports do you like to play, or instruments or what... just WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO DO?
  4. In the last paragraph, ask me any questions you might have for me about the school year.

11th Grade: You can CHILL! We will do a lot of preliminary community building right in class.

I am so excited for the school year! I hope you are ready to work and learn!
